An adventurous life cut tragically short
Massimo was diagnosed with brain cancer at just 21 years old and lived his life to the fullest until he died six years later.
“For Massimo, adventure was his thing,” says his mum, Lucy. “Travel was a constant, and the trips were always about something adventurous – hiking, skiing, the beach.”
After his diagnosis, Massimo took every opportunity to throw himself into life, running in the City2Surf race and returning to university to study construction management.
During this time, he also raised an incredible $86,000 for Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. And he met the love of his life, Liz, whom he married in a beautiful backyard ceremony just days before he died.
"We now use his name as our mantra to continue the fight – live life to the MASS!”
– Massimo’s mum
As his legacy, Massimo wants the hunt for a cure for brain cancer to continue.
By leaving a gift in your Will, you can help continue the search for a cure for brain cancer, so that lives like Massimo’s aren’t cut tragically short.
